"Each friend represents a world in us, a world not born until they arrive,
and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born." - Anais Nin
On their second educational field trip of the summer, the ladies of Reading Rebels visited Red Rock Canyon National Conservation and Spring Mountain Ranch State Park. They explored both the conservation and state park, while making stops at historic sites and in the enchanting community of Blue Diamond. The ladies also picnicked in Spring Mountain State Park and recognized Valaysia's last day with the club before her family's move to California. Besides the amazing personal transformation in each of the young ladies over the course of the summer, they also experienced a transformation in their relationships with one another. A bond and closeness began developing among these young ladies, and they have formed unlikely and unexpected friendships with one another. Over time, they have learned to accept and appreciate one another's differences, respecting each other as individuals and uniting with each other as Reading Rebels.
